- Can I send emergency text messages to 9-1-1?
- Yes. However, the public is reminded to: “Call if you can. Text if you can’t.”
- Text to 9-1-1 is intended primarily for use in three emergency scenarios: 1) For an individual who is deaf, hard-of-hearing, or has a speech disability; 2) For someone who is in a situation where it is not safe to place a voice call to 9-1-1; and 3) Your cell signal is not strong enough for a voice call, but text may be possible.

- Yes. You can submit your request by filling out the form on our Community Outreach page. Please provide details about yourself or your group, explain your interest, and list any specific requests for your visit. Someone from our agency will contact you.
