Dispatchers talking to high school students about 9-1-1

Santa Cruz Regional 9-1-1 loves opportunities to connect with the public! Our Awareness and Community Education (ACE) team is made up of dispatchers and managers who are passionate about the team’s purpose, which is to take an active role in community outreach and public education about 9-1-1. Upon request, the ACE team can provide presentations and a guided tour of our state-of-the-art technological dispatch center. Groups can range from elementary students to senior citizens, and include many volunteer organizations, such as police volunteers and Hope Services.

Presentations are geared towards your group and may include topics like: how to use 9-1-1, emergency community notifications, or possible career opportunities. Our staff also enjoys meeting you in your classroom or at events like Ducky Derby, Santa Cruz County Fair, National Night Out, Neighborhood Watch meetings, and fire department open houses.
