The Public Safety Operations Division Manager performs work of considerable difficulty as they manage, develop, and coordinate our agency's emergency communications Operations Division. This Division Manager is responsible, directly and through subordinate personnel, for the daily operation of our 24/7 emergency center, on-going implementation of policies and procedures, training, recruitment—all the while ensuring consistent quality service to our first responder User Agencies and the community. This position requires vast knowledge of the daily operation of a modern public safety emergency center, as well as the technical equipment needed to run such a center.

Equivalent of four years college level course work in business management, public administrator, or public safety. Experience supervising or managing a public safety dispatch unit, program, or operation within a police, fire, emergency medical or consolidated emergency communications center may be substituted for college level course work on a year-for-year basis for a maximum of two years.
